When is the best time to book up a boudoir photo session to give as a gift on Valentine's day?
The answer is - Today! It's never too early to book your session, and more often than not, clients will leave it until the last moment.
Like most big events, it's probably best to work backwards from the date: You want to gift your photos in mid February, so you are going to have to have them in your hands by the first week of that month - or panic will definitely begin to set in. Allowing for a week to get the prints to you, or 2-3 weeks if you are ordering an album, that puts you at mid-January.
When you have your boudoir session, you will get to choose your images from an online gallery, or sometimes a contact sheet. Allow yourself a couple of days to choose your favourite images, and once you have, about another week to allow for photo retouching and finishing at the studio.
So, you are now looking at the start of January as a cut-off date for Valentine´s prints. Usually, you won't be able to book a short notice appointment, as it's a pretty busy time for boudoir studios, so you really want to be calling to book in December to be sure of an opening. The good news is that booking a few weeks in advance gives you some time to pick out your lingerie, hit the gym and work on that fake tan, as the chances of getting a real one in winter are pretty slim :-)
To sum it all up: The recommendation is: Book your boudoir session TODAY!!! - Photos don't go out of date, and we can hold them for you for up to 12 months if you want to guarantee the surprise.
Even better - book your Valentine's shot in the summer, when your beach body is at its best - Then forget about having to hold back on the Christmas calories because your have a shot booked on the coldest day of the year!
